Looking back
Safion's core is based on a scientifically novel method for battery state diagnosis. After more than 10 years of interdisciplinary research at RWTH Aachen University, our founding team decided to transfer its far-reaching findings into innovative industrial solutions to enable real technological progress.
The combination of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and advanced evaluation algorithms, this is where we see the first and only way of truly understanding the inner processes of batteries. Thanks to years of cutting-edge interdisciplinary research, our combined battery knowledge led directly into our product development and formed the cornerstone of our expertise.
We are growing faster and faster. With the hiring of a new colleague, we are already expanding our team size to 25!
After many development projects in the automotive sector, we sell the first ExaMight quality assurance system to a major German automotive OEM.
We are expanding our customer base and delivering an ExaMight quality assurance system for the first time for a customer in electrified aviation.
More space for even more ideas: We are moving to our new facilities in Tempelhofer Straße in Aachen.
Safion enters into a strategic partnership with Digatron to combine competences and expand Safion's international sales. Company founder of Digatron Rolf Beckers with his Beckers Holding acquires a stake in Safion GmbH.
